Wildfire photo in INDIE FM's files
The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has partnered with Odenaang Circle and the BWG Public Library to collect essential items for families displaced by wildfires in Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, and British Columbia.
The donation drive is accepting clean clothing for all ages, baby items and diapers, pet food and supplies, books, children’s toys and games, hygiene products, as well as suitcases and backpacks.
Donations can be dropped off until the end of the day on Friday, July 24,th at the following locations:
- BWG Public Library, 425 Holland Street West
- Town Administration Office, 100 Dissette Street, Units 7 and 8
- Growth Services Office, 305 Barrie Street, Unit 2
- BWG Leisure Centre, 471 West Park Avenue
Collected donations will be distributed through True North Aid, a charitable organization that has been delivering emergency supplies to northern communities across Canada since 2009.
Residents who would like to support the initiative financially can also make a donation directly through True North Aid.
