The Town of Innisfil is set to begin road improvements as part of the Bayshore Road Drainage Improvements project.
This project includes roadway and culvert replacements, ditch clearing and regrading, road reconstruction, upgrades to the existing drainage outlet, and construction of a new outlet at Bayshore Road Park.
Residents in the area should expect temporary disruptions, including possible driveway restrictions while heavy equipment is operating or asphalt work is underway. Construction may also result in increased noise, dust, and other site activity.
The planned road closures include:
- Bayshore Road (Dempsey Street to Lakeshore Boulevard): Monday, July 27th to Friday, July 31st
- Parkview Road (Dempsey Street to Lakeshore Boulevard): Closed beginning Monday, August 3rd, weather permitting
- Dempsey Street (2nd Line to Bayshore Road/Parkview Road): Closed beginning Monday, August 10th, weather permitting
- Wood Street (Dempsey Street to road end): Closed beginning Monday, August 10th, weather permitting
All roads are expected to be temporarily closed in late August for the application of base asphalt.
Local traffic access, waste collection, and emergency services will be maintained during construction. The Town is reminding motorists to follow detour signage, use caution in the area, and expect delays while the improvements are completed.
