Innisfil homeowners with private septic systems are invited to learn how to better maintain and protect their systems during the Town’s free Tank Talk information night.
Topics will include septic system maintenance, how septic systems work, common homeowner mistakes, warning signs of potential problems, and best practices to help extend the life of a septic system.
Residents will also have the opportunity to speak with Town staff about Innisfil’s septic permit system and septic reinspection program.
The Town says regular septic maintenance can help homeowners avoid costly repairs while protecting groundwater and the local environment.
The drop-in event will take place on Monday, August 10th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Innisfil Town Hall. It will include information booths, septic industry vendors, and an educational presentation by the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association beginning at 6:00 p.m.
