ALLISTON, Ontario — Velocity Sport Inc. will invite local families to experience its Ninja floor, trampolines, aerial silks and athlete demonstrations during an open house Saturday, Aug. 15.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Velocity Sport, located at 4905 Dean Drive in Alliston.
“We want people to do more than simply walk through the gym,” owner Marty Shiffman said. “We want kids and families to get on the equipment, meet the coaches and experience how much fun it can be to challenge yourself in a supportive environment.”
Visitors will be able to explore the gym’s Ninja floor and trampolines throughout the afternoon. Velocity Sport also plans to have an aerial silks coach on-site to encourage participation and introduce guests to some of the activity’s fundamental skills.
“The Ninja floor and trampolines will be open, and we’re hoping to have one of our aerial silks coaches helping people learn the basics,” Shiffman said. “Our athletes are also preparing demonstrations so families can see what these programs can lead to with practice and good coaching.”
Velocity Sport will be promoting the open house during the Alliston Potato Festival, where visitors will be able to scan a QR code linking directly to the event registration page.
Anyone who preregisters and attends the open house will be entered into a draw for one of three Velocity Sport gift certificates. Full registration and contest details will be posted on the company’s website.
Velocity Sport offers recreational and competitive programming in trampoline, tumbling, Ninja Warrior training and aerial silks. Registration is currently available for its fall 2026 programs.
Shiffman said the open house is designed to make the gym welcoming for first-time visitors while helping families discover activities that may be different from traditional team sports.
