Several road improvement projects are scheduled to begin across New Tecumseth this month as part of the Town’s 2026 Road Improvement Program.
The projects include:
- 11th Line, between Tottenham Road and 10th Sideroad, where crews will grade the gravel surface, replace road-crossing culverts, pave the road, and install new pavement markings.
- 15th Sideroad, between 11th Line and 12th Line, where the gravel roadway will be graded, paved, and receive new road lines.
- Beech Street East, between Church Street South and Centre Street South, where the existing asphalt will be removed, the road base regraded, a new catch basin installed, and the roadway repaved and remarketed.
The Town says traffic will be maintained throughout construction, with one lane open during working hours and both lanes reopening outside of construction hours. Safe pedestrian access will also be maintained.
Residents may experience temporary delays and short-term driveway access restrictions. The Town says staff and the contractor will work with affected homeowners to coordinate alternate parking if required.
The work is expected to wrap up by the fall.
