A youth faces charges in connection with a stabbing in Innisfil.
On Aug. 23, at 11:20 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a call after a group of youths reported their friend had been stabbed in an altercation near 20th Sideroad and Benson Street
According to police, the victim sustained several lacerations to the body and was transported to a local hospital.
A youth suspect was identified and turned themselves in to police. The youth can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
