A 38-year-old Barrie man is facing multiple criminal charges after police seized approximately $40,000 worth of suspected drugs during an investigation in the city’s downtown.
On Wednesday, September 2nd, at around 6:00 p.m., Barrie Police conducted a drug investigation in the area of Mulcaster Street between McDonald and Codrington Streets.
Police say the man was found in possession of a significant quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine and prescription pills. Officers also seized nearly $18,000 in cash and an e-bike.
The man is facing the following charges:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance- Cocaine
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance- Fentanyl
- Possess Schedule 1 Substance- Hydromorphone
- Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Operation while Prohibited
