Innisfil idealab & Library
The Innisfil ideaLAB & Library is bringing together local makers, musicians and authors this fall with a lineup of events focused on creativity, entertainment and community connection.
The 12th annual MakerFEST will take place Saturday, September 12th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Branch. The free community show-and-tell event will feature local makers, artists, creators and organizations, with visitors invited to explore hands-on activities and demonstrations.
Highlights include interactive activities in the HackLAB, a Bubble Show, balloon twisting, virtual reality experiences, a hands-on art project with the MacLaren Art Centre, Ozobots robotic coding and local vendors. Free popcorn, prizes and additional activities will also be available.

The Lakeshore Branch will also host Library After Dark featuring Tia Brazda on Saturday, September 19th. The evening will feature live music from Brazda, who is known for her vintage-inspired sound and performances.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25.

On Thursday, October 1st, the library will welcome athlete, activist and Heated Rivalry actor Harrison Browne and journalist Rachel Browne for an author talk about their book, Let Us Play: Winning the Battle for Gender Diverse Athletes.
The conversation, moderated by Will Nash, will explore progress, challenges and visibility in sport and storytelling. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lakeshore Branch and is free to attend. A library card is not required, but registration is required.
