The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is celebrating the 10th annual Pumpkin Fest this fall.
It will feature live music, busker performances, wagon rides, pumpkin carving and the Bradford Farmers’ Market. Children can receive one pumpkin each for carving, while supplies last.
Other free activities include an inflatable corn maze, mini-golf, games, face painting and a caricature artist. The main stage will feature music from The Beresfords, along with kid-friendly entertainment and music from Team T & J and Russ Clayton.
BWG Fire & Emergency Services will also be on hand providing public education.
“Pumpkin Fest has become a wonderful fall tradition in BWG, and we’re excited to celebrate its 10th anniversary with our community,” says Mayor James Leduc. “This free, family-friendly event is a great opportunity to enjoy a day outdoors, support local businesses and farmers’ market vendors, and make memories together. We’re grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, local businesses and Town staff who help make Pumpkin Fest possible, and we look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to Henderson Memorial Park this October.”
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from local businesses, while the Bradford Lions will host a fundraising barbecue.
Pumpkin Fest takes place Saturday, October 17th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Henderson Memorial Park on Line 9, just west of Sideroad 10. The Bradford Farmers’ Market is also extending its schedule by one week to bring its vendors to Henderson Memorial Park for the event.
Parking at the park is limited. Overflow parking will be available at Henderson Field at 3200 Sideroad 10, with a walking path to the park. Parking will also be available at the BWG Leisure Centre at 471 West Park Avenue and Bob Fallis Arena at 2961 10th Sideroad, with free shuttle bus service from both locations.
Non-perishable food donations will also be collected for the Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank.
