CONTACT Community Services is launching its 22nd annual Coats for Kids campaign.
The local initiative provides free winter gear, including coats, snow pants, boots, hats and mittens. Residents are now being encouraged to donate new or gently used winter clothing to help prepare local families for the colder months.
Donations can be dropped off at The Clothes Line store at 55 Victoria Street West in Alliston. CONTACT is asking that donated items be clean and in good condition, with all sizes of winter coats, snow pants, boots, hats and mittens welcomed.
Distribution of donated winter gear is scheduled to begin Monday, October 12th. Families looking for winter clothing can contact CONTACT to inquire about availability.
“For over two decades, Coats for Kids has served as a vital resource for families experiencing financial challenges during the coldest months of the year,” says Carey Paulusma, Store Manager of The Clothes Line. “We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from our community and encourage everyone to help us make this year’s campaign our most successful one yet.”
CONTACT also welcomes financial donations to help purchase new winter gear for children with urgent needs.
