New Tecumseth has unveiled new wayfinding signage along the Trans Canada Trail to improve navigation, safety,, and accessibility for residents and visitors.
Mayor Richard Norcross, Members of Council, and Town staff are celebrating the project, which received funding through Simcoe County’s Trails Connecting Communities Program.
The upgrades include parking lot signage, directional signs, kilometre markers and emergency wayfinding signs designed to help first responders locate trail users more quickly. New trailhead signs featuring maps, trail information, and trail etiquette have also been installed at key locations.
The Town says the improvements will help create a safer and more enjoyable experience for people using one of New Tecumseth’s popular recreational assets.
