
A North York man is facing a careless driving charge after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at a Bradford West Gwillimbury intersection.
South Simcoe Police responded to the collision at Holland Street West and West Park Avenue at around 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6th.
Police say the driver of a Honda minivan was turning from West Park Avenue onto Holland Street West when the vehicle entered the pedestrian crosswalk and struck a person crossing with the pedestrian signal active.
The pedestrian sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.
Following the investigation, the 37-year-old driver was charged with careless driving.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in November.
