Hooray for Coaches Day presented by Boston Pizza Alliston. We are profiling Margie Brinkman, an instructor with the Modern Conservatory of Music in Alliston.
Brinkman says she brings a positive approach to learning music.
Instead of repeating scales and sitting for hours staring at sheet music, she says she has a few tricks of the trade she has learned over the years.
Many of the techniques she picked up while working as an Educational Assistant.
Margie is a certified Kindermusic instructor as well as teaching piano and violin to both children and adults.
She says each child she works with is unique and she caters to their individual learning style.
Margie says anyone of any age can learn music, it just requires patience and practice.
