Drivers in New Tecumseth can once again park on the streets overnight.
A motion put forth on Monday (mar 16) to remove the winter parking by-law will be implemented right away.
New Tecumseth Mayor Rick Milne says there is enough going on with COVID-19 and a possible influx of students coming home to stay with parents that parking tickets are the last of their concerns.

Mayor Milne does remind drivers however, if there is an extreme weather event and the town needs access to the roads, drivers are required to move their vehicles.
Overnight winter parking is usually banned until April 15th.
