As myFM informed you Wednesday, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic developments, Simcoe County has declared a State of Emergency.
We had a chance to talk to Warden George Cornell.
He the declaration affords the County additional powers to protect the health and safety of all individuals, families and businesses as well as the vulnerable populations that we serve.
He says they also need to ensure they can use all available resources to protect the health and well-being of County residents.
He says essential services will continue including road maintenance, paramedic service, LINX Transit and curb side garbage collection.
