With the extreme warm weather and lack of recent rainfall, the Town of New Tecumseth has implemented some water restrictions.
As such, the Town of New Tecumseth put watering restrictions in place for all of New Tec: Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham.
Effective immediately and until further notice residents, businesses, and corporations may only use water for the purpose of watering grass and other uses related to landscaping between 7pm-8:30pm.
The further stipulation that even numbered property addresses can water on even numbered days, odd numbered property addresses on odd numbered days.
The Town says simply there is a higher demand on water systems, which leads to decreased potable water reserves and low aquifer levels.
