Bryan Haas is the Robotics Teacher at Banting Memorial High School in Alliston.
The teaching bug bit Mr. Haas while helping out as an extra hand at a Sailing School for teenagers.
After going to Teachers College, he began his career.
He says he presents his class with a challenge and finds great joy in teaching them the skills necessary to solve said challenge.
Mr. Haas says he sees himself teaching his students life lessons and not strictly robotics.
It’s creating an interest in learning that’s the biggest hurdle, he says once a students wants to learn, it’s easy to teach them.
One of the things he loves about teaching is that he is always learning himself.
