List of School Closures During CUPE Strike


With CUPE and OPSEU workers set to walk out of the job tomorrow in their fight for fair pay and better working conditions, some school districts have opted to close for in-person learning.

Here’s a list of which schools will be open and which will be closed during this tumultous time.

 

 

Upper Grand District School Board

  • Status: OPEN for in-person learning tomorrow, Friday, November 4th
  • Following Friday, assesments will be made each day to determine if schools will remain open

Dufferin-Peel District Catholic School Board

  • Status: CLOSED for in-person learning tomorrow, Friday, November 4th
  • Transportation, Child Care Centres, and Extra Curricular Programs are also cancelled

Wellington Catholic District School Board

  • Status: OPEN for in-person learning tomorrow, Friday, November 4th
  • Should there be an ongoing strike beyond Friday, it may be necessary to close schools during the following week due to health and safety conditions.
