Paying your parking ticket with a toy has paid off in South Simcoe.
The New Tecumseth Toys for Tickets Campaign saw residents bring in toys in lieu of a monetary payment for a total of 41 tickets.
58 toys were donated… totaling $1,697.50.
They are headed to My Sisters Place and the Alliston Lion’s Club.
The Town of Innisfil, wrapped up their Scrooge the Ticket Campaign.
Anyone who received a parking ticket there, had the option to donate money, children’s toys, gift cards, or non-perishable food items instead of paying their fine.
As a result, the Troy Scott Community Fridges received $1,925 with that same amount going to the Innisfil Food Bank.
$140 worth of toys were also donated.
