A number of vehicle thefts in the Town of Innisfil and Bradford over the weekend has police reminding residents to take necessary precautions to safeguard their vehicles against theft.
Between Friday (ap12) and Sunday (ap14) South Simcoe Police say 4 vehicles were stolen in the two towns.
One vehicle was later recovered by the York Regional Police after it was discovered crashed into a ditch off Hwy 9 in York Region.
However… one Bradford resident managed to thwart the attempted theft of a 5th vehicle in Bradford.
Police say the vehicle owner had stored their keys in a Faraday box.
The would-be thieves were unsuccessful in picking up a signal and abandoned their efforts… leaving the scene empty-handed.
Police ask if you have any information that you contact them or Crime Stoppers.
