Students from grades 7 to 12 are invited to check out over 140 skilled trades through the Level Up! Skilled Trades Career Fairs taking place in Barrie today (Sept17).
Teenagers will be encouraged to experiment with hands-on activities and interactive exhibitions while hearing directly from tradespeople and local employers.
This is the third year the career fair has run across the province.
This year’s fair is being held at the Essa Agriplex.
Close to 300,000 jobs will be available across our province by 2025, about one in five of those will be in the skilled trades.
Over 150 exhibitors will be featured to help students take the first step toward a career in the skilled trades.
