Despite the fall weather, winter parking hours have kicked into effect in some area municipalities.
In the Town of Innisfil, between November 1 and May 1 overnight parking between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. is prohibited on all town roads.
Essa Township also bans overnight street parking between the dates of November 1st and May 1st, regardless of weather conditions..
Overnight on-street parking will no longer be available in New Tecumseth beginning November 15, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
That rule will remain in effect until April 15.
And… In Bradford you have until December 1st before you need to find alternate on-street parking.
The rules there remain in place until April 1.
The no-overnight-on-street parking rule is to allow for work crews to maneuver snow removal equipment through town streets.
If you park during the overnight hours, you could receive a fine.
