The Alliston Hornets continue to tear through the PJHL with another win over the Orillia Terriers.
It was actually the Terriers who opened the scoring, but that lead didn’t last long. Mitch Harding, Nick Lamont, and Cole Turcotte would score three unanswered goals to end the first period, making it 3-1 Alliston after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Duncan Grube would get his 19th of the season to give the Hornets the three-goal lead. It was 4-1 Alliston heading into the second intermission.
The dominance didn’t stop there, as the Hornets would get three more goals in the final frame, with Jaedon French scoring a pair, and Jax Bellwood getting one himself. The Hornets would beat the Terriers 7-1.
Owen Butler was in net for Alliston. He was busy, stopping 37 of 38 shots, giving him a .973% save percentage.
The Hornets return home on Wednesday, February 5th. They’ll play the Penetang Kings at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre. Ticket information can be found here.
