The Alliston Hornets continue to dominate, jumping out to a 2-0 series lead in their second round playoff match-up.
On Monday, March 10th, the Hornets went to the Penetang Memorial Community Centre for game two against the Penetang Kings.
It was Cole Turcotte in the first period who opened the scoring. His 4th goal of the playoffs gave Alliston the 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Mark Coish and Will Millington would get on the board early. That would be followed up by a pair of goals from Nick Lamont, giving the Hornets a 4-0 lead after two periods of play.
That lead got bigger in the final frame, with Duncan Grube netting his 6th of the year. While Penetang would get on the scoresheet late in the game, Alliston would carry their lead to the final whistle, winning 6-1.
Seth Ronan was in net for Alliston. He stopped 21 of 22 shots for the .954% save percentage and the win.
Game three of the series is set for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12th at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre. Ticket information can be found here.
