South Simcoe Police Cruiser, from the FM 92 files
Police Week in Ontario runs Sunday, May 11th – Saturday, May 17th, and the South Simcoe Police Service is kicking things off a day early with its Annual Open House this weekend.
This year’s theme, Protecting Ontario, celebrates the important role police play in building and maintaining safe communities across the province.
The Open House offers a behind-the-scenes look at South Simcoe Police, including tours of both the North and South Divisions, demonstrations from specialized units, and a chance to meet K9 Nitro and the Mounted Unit horses from Briarwood Farm. Visitors can also check out vintage police vehicles and equipment, chat with officers, and get their bicycles inspected for safety.
- North Division (Innisfil): 2137 Innisfil Beach Road
- 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10th
- South Division (Bradford West Gwillimbury): 81 Melbourne Drive
- 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10th
Bring the family and your camera – there will be plenty of photo opportunities, and the event is free and open to all.
