The Nottawasaga OPP has charged a 47-year-old Angus resident with impaired driving following a collision in Essa Township.
On Thursday, September 18th, just before 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Gold Park Gate. No injuries were reported.
During their interaction with one of the drivers, police determined that their ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. The individual was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on October 9th.
Police are reminding residents to call 9-1-1 if they suspect someone is driving while impaired. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
