The holiday season is set to sparkle in Bradford West Gwillimbury as the community gathers for its annual Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 15th, starting at 6:00 p.m.
Families and friends will line the streets to enjoy twinkling floats, festive music, and community spirit, as local groups and businesses bring holiday magic to life.
The parade begins at Bradford District High School, located at 70 Professor Day Drive, and travels east along Holland Street, before finishing at the Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre on Simcoe Road. The celebration will last roughly 60 – 90 minutes from start to finish.
Those looking to join the parade can apply online by November 3rd at noon. Prizes will be awarded for Best Overall (Mayor’s Trophy), Best Commercial/Business Float, and Best Non-Profit Float.
“I’m thrilled to once again celebrate the holiday season with our residents at the Santa Claus Parade,” says BWG Mayor James Leduc. “This cherished tradition truly brings our community together. It’s always wonderful to see the streets filled with so many smiling faces—especially the kids—as local groups and businesses come together to create vibrant, creative floats that bring joy and excitement to families and residents of all ages.”
Spectators are encouraged to arrive early, dress for the weather, and follow parade etiquette by keeping children in front and respecting parade marshals. No parking is permitted along the route, but public parking is available at several nearby lots including the BWG Leisure Centre, BWG Library, and Barrie Street.
The County of Simcoe Paramedics will also be on-site collecting toys for their annual toy drive. The parade is made possible through support from Bayview-Wellington Homes, Osborne Goddard Team, and DG Group.
