A 55-year-old driver is facing multiple charges after being stopped by the Nottawasaga OPP Traffic Unit for excessive speeding on County Road 56.
Police say the incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22nd, when the vehicle was clocked travelling 138 km/h in an 80-zone. The driver was charged with:
- Speeding
- Stunt Driving
- Drive Motor Vehicle – Plate Improperly Displayed
As a result, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s licence suspended.
Police are reminding motorists that speeding and stunt driving are serious offences that endanger lives and that enforcement efforts will continue to promote community safety.
