The Alliston Hornets remain the top dog after a pair of weekends.
On Friday, October 24th, the Hornets hosted the Innisfil Spartans in front of 235 fans at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre.
Thanks to a hattrick from Duncan Grube, a pair of goals from Jax Bellwood, and solo markers from Will Hopcraft, Noah Larmon, and Jacob English, the Hornets were able to dominate the Spartans in an 8-1 win.
In net for Alliston was Anthony Lovisa. He had a relatively light night, stopping 17 of 18 shots for the .944% save percentage and the win.
The Hornets then hit the road to take on the Midland Flyers on Sunday, October 26th.
Once again, Jax Bellwood lit the lamp twice, while Will Millington, Duncan Grube, Mark Coish, and David Harvey added their own goals to make it a 6-3 win for Alliston.
They called on Riley Arts to tend the goal for the Hornets. He did just enough to get the win, stopping 18 of 21 shots for the .857% save percentage.
The Hornets will rest up this week before they take on the Penetang Kings at home on Friday, October 31st in a Halloween match-up. Game time at the New Tec Rec Centre is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Ticket details are available here.
