The Nottawasaga OPP has charged a 33-year-old woman from New Brunswick following a months-long fraud investigation involving a local minor hockey league association.
Police say the case began on May 14th, 2024, after the association discovered a $77,299 discrepancy in its operational account.
The association recovered $54,000 through internal efforts, and police later determined the individual managing part of the funds had committed fraud. The accused faces charges of:
- Criminal Breach of Trust
- Fraud Over $5000
She has been released pending a court appearance on November 20th.
