The South Simcoe Police Service, alongside Ministry of Transportation inspectors, carried out a commercial motor vehicle enforcement initiative this week.
On Monday, October 27th, officers in Bradford West Gwillimbury:
- inspected 14 commercial vehicle
- took ten vehicles off the road
- issued 33 Provincial Offence Notices
- removed to two licence plates from vehicles
Police say unsafe commercial vehicles pose a significant risk to the public and that both drivers and companies are responsible for meeting safety standards.
The South Simcoe Police Service says it will continue similar road safety enforcement efforts in partnership with the province.
