The Town of New Tecumseth has officially opened the outdoor rink at the Tottenham Community and Fitness Centre, welcoming residents to enjoy winter skating now that colder temperatures have set in.
Staff completed preparations, and the rink is now in ideal condition for skating. Residents are encouraged to bring their skates, enjoy the fresh air, and make the most of one of the season’s favourite local activities. The Town is also reminding visitors to follow posted schedules and safety guidelines to help ensure the rink remains safe and enjoyable for everyone.
For those looking for more ways to get on the ice, New Tecumseth offers both indoor skating and shinny opportunities throughout Tottenham, Alliston, and Beeton. Indoor programs operate on a first-come, first-served basis and include a variety of skating times for all ages. Shinny sessions are also available, requiring full equipment and a CSA-approved helmet.
Outdoor rinks are located beside the Tottenham Community & Fitness Centre, at Riverdale Park on Doner Diamond in Alliston, and at Beeton Community Park in Beeton.
