The County of Simcoe has officially launched the 2026 #ITSTARTS campaign, with Warden Basil Clarke proclaiming March as #ITSTARTS Month and raising the campaign flag at the Administration Centre in Midhurst.
Now marking its 10th year, the grassroots initiative promotes inclusion, equity, and connection across the region, reaching more than 4.5 million people since its inception. The campaign supports a growing and diverse population, including more than 82,000 immigrant residents throughout Simcoe County.
Throughout March, #ITSTARTS banners and flags will be displayed at municipal offices and community locations across the county.
Residents, businesses, schools, and organizations are encouraged to participate by requesting campaign cards through the Simcoe County Local Immigration Partnership, sharing messages of inclusion on social media using #ITSTARTS, hosting multicultural and awareness events, or accessing resources through the Simcoe County Diversity Hub.
