York – Simcoe MPP Caroline Mulroney met last week with representatives from CONTACT Community Services to highlight the impact of a $151,600 Resilient Communities Fund grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The funding, received over the past two years, has allowed CONTACT to expand and strengthen its volunteer programs across South Simcoe by improving recruitment, training and engagement. Grant dollars supported the hiring of a Volunteer Coordinator, enhanced training opportunities and administrative supports to better equip volunteers delivering frontline services.
CONTACT, a registered charity serving more than 3,500 families, adults, seniors and youth annually, provides housing and employment supports, community programs and operates The Clothes Line thrift stores in Alliston and Bradford West Gwillimbury.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation invested nearly $105 million in 732 community projects across the province last year, supporting initiatives that promote economic well-being, youth development and community connection.
