Matthew's House Hospice Sign (2020)
Matthews House Hospice says it raised more than $395,000 during its Annual Holiday Giving Campaign, surpassing last year’s total by more than 16%.
The December and January campaign highlighted the impact of hospice care through the story of Nancy O’Neill and her father, Michael, who was able to reconnect with the outdoors after nearly six months in hospital. In 2025, the hospice cared for more than 250 clients at its residence, where the average length of stay was 10.5 days. The facility offers end-of-life care, pain and symptom management, and caregiver relief programs in a home-like setting designed to support families spending time together.
“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who included our hospice in your holiday giving plans. Your generosity reflects the compassion and community spirit that sustain our work every day,” says Margaret Bachle, Chief Executive Officer
Matthews House Hospice provides services across South Simcoe County, including New Tecumseth, Adjala-Tosorontio, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Essa and Innisfil.
