Two men are facing charges after Barrie Police spotted suspicious activity during an early morning patrol.
Officers observed two males pulling a large bin full of tools near Dunlop Street West and Anne Street shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26th. A search also uncovered a prohibited knife and a canister of bear repellent. Police followed tracks in the snow back to a pickup truck on Hart Drive, where the tools are believed to have been taken.
A 39-year-old Barrie man is charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon and failure to comply with a prohibition order. A 38-year-old man is also charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.
