A 50-year-old Innisfil man is facing multiple charges after police say he was caught driving while suspended during a proactive patrol this week.
According to the South Simcoe Police Service, officers spotted a white Honda travelling westbound on Innisfil Beach Road around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4th that was associated with a suspended driver. Police conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the driver was operating the vehicle while his licence was suspended and that he had previous charges and convictions under the Highway Traffic Act.
As a result, the 50-year-old man was arrested and charged with:
- Driving while under suspension (x3)
- Owner operate motor vehicle on highway – no insurance
- Operation while prohibited
Police say the driver’s licence has been further suspended and the vehicle was impounded. The accused is scheduled to appear in court in May.
