Spring is returning with a sweet tradition as the Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival takes place next month at Tiffin Conservation Area.
The annual event invites families and visitors of all ages to celebrate the season with outdoor activities, hands-on experiences, and fresh maple syrup. Admission includes a pancake and sausage breakfast served with locally made syrup, while guests can also explore both historic and modern maple production methods throughout the day.
Popular attractions include interactive animal exhibits, dog agility demonstrations, and tractor wagon rides through the forest, along with live music and a strong community presence supported by local firefighters. Optional add-ons, such as maple taffy tasting, bird box building, professional photos, and maple syrup purchases, will also be available for an additional fee.
“For more than 30 years, Spring Tonic has brought the community together to celebrate the sights, sounds, and flavours of the season,” says Kyra Howes of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, noting the ongoing partnership with the Rotary Club of Barrie.
Organizers say proceeds from the festival will support conservation efforts at the site, along with community initiatives such as local healthcare, housing, and youth programs across Simcoe County.
The festival runs Saturday, April 11th and Sunday, April 12th at Tiffin Conservation Area, just minutes from Barrie, Angus, and Innisfil, offering an easy spring outing for residents across the region.
