Barrie Police are investigating after shots were fired at a home in the city’s south end late Sunday night.
Officers say they were called to Carley Crescent at around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, April 12th following reports of multiple gunshots. Upon arrival, police located two vehicles in the driveway that had been struck by gunfire, while several people were inside the residence at the time. No injuries were reported.
Witnesses told police they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in the area, last seen heading eastbound on Esther Drive. Members of the Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene and collected evidence, with officers expected to remain in the area canvassing for additional information.
Police believe the incident to be isolated and say there is no risk to public safety, as the investigation continues.
