The Town of New Tecumseth is getting ready for summer, offering residents plenty of ways to stay cool as temperatures begin to rise.
Starting May 15th, the Town’s four splash pads will open, giving families a fun and refreshing way to beat the heat. The local beach will also be ready the same day, including at the Tottenham Conservation Area, where visitors can enjoy swimming, sand and outdoor activities.
The outdoor pool season will run from June 29th to August 31st, with a mix of drop-in swims, lessons and programs available for all ages.
Alongside the summer fun, the town is reminding residents to take precautions during hot weather. Staying hydrated, wearing sunscreen, seeking shade, and dressing in light clothing are all key steps to prevent heat-related illnesses. Officials also stress the importance of never leaving children or pets in parked vehicles.
With a variety of outdoor options and safety reminders in place, the town is encouraging everyone to make the most of a safe and enjoyable summer season.
