Barrie Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect following a theft and fraud investigation.
Investigators say a wallet was stolen from a locked locker at a fitness centre on Bayfield Street on March 10th. Within an hour, the suspect allegedly used the stolen credit cards to make a purchase at a local business.
They are working to identify the male suspect involved and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police are also reminding residents that while tap features on credit and debit cards are convenient, they bypass PIN security and can be used quickly if cards are stolen.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Neil Petersen and reference case number CL26001073.
