The Town of New Tecumseth is advising residents of upcoming sewer maintenance work in local communities.
This month, routine sewer main flushing will take place in Tottenham and Beeton as part of the Town’s wastewater system maintenance program.
Officials say the work is essential to remove debris and buildup inside pipes, helping to prevent blockages, reduce the risk of backups, and ensure the system continues to operate efficiently.
Residents are encouraged to run water briefly in sinks, showers, or floor drains to keep traps full, and to keep toilet lids closed when not in use during the flushing period.
The Town says it appreciates residents’ patience as the work is completed.
