A 36-year-old Essa Township resident is facing several drug trafficking and weapons charges following the execution of a search warrant by the OPP last week.
Officers carried out the warrant at a home in Essa on Thursday, May 7th, where one person was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators seized about 32 grams of cocaine, 17 grams of methamphetamine, cutting agents, $2,830 in suspected proceeds of crime, brass knuckles and a large knife.
The accused has been charged with multiple offences:
- Trafficking in a Schedule I substance – Cocaine
- Trafficking in a Schedule I substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Fail to comply with an undertaking
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
