The Alliston & District Humane Society is gearing up for its annual Woof Walk fundraiser next month in support of homeless animals in the community.
Organizers say the family-friendly fundraiser will include a dog walk around the shelter property, a free barbecue lunch, dog games, tours of the newly expanded shelter, a vendors’ market, door prizes, and more.
Funds raised through the Woof Walk will help support animal health care and veterinary costs for animals cared for by the shelter. Participants can collect donations online or by using printable pledge forms available through the organization.
The event takes place Saturday, June 6th at the shelter, located at 5545 Concession Road 4 in Everett. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m., with the walk starting at 11:30 a.m.
Residents are encouraged to participate individually or form teams with friends and family. More information, including pledge forms and registration details, here.
