Drivers in New Tecumseth can expect temporary traffic disruptions as the Town begins its 2026 Road Microsurfacing Program on a section of the 15th Sideroad.
The project will see microsurfacing work completed on 15th Sideroad between the 4th Line and 6th Line. The Town says contractor Duncor Enterprises Inc. began construction today, with work expected to wrap up by the end of the week.
During construction, one lane of traffic will remain open at all times with traffic control measures in place to guide vehicles safely through the work zone. Officials say drivers should expect delays during working hours, while both lanes will reopen outside of construction periods.
The Town says safe pedestrian access will also be maintained throughout the project, and on-site crews will work directly with residents to reduce disruptions to driveway access where possible.
Motorists are being reminded to follow posted signage and instructions from traffic control personnel while travelling through the area.
