Residents in New Tecumseth will have a chance to experience the excitement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup up close through a special community training event featuring Panama national football team.
As a designated Team Base Camp community for the tournament, the Town of New Tecumseth is partnering with FIFA, Simcoe County, and Nottawasaga Resort & Conference Centre to host an exclusive registration-only Team Panama Community Training Session ahead of the team’s opening match on Thursday, June 11th.
The event will give residents an opportunity to watch Team Panama train in-person and take part in FIFA-themed prize giveaways.
Registration opens Tuesday, June 2nd at 12:00 p.m. and is available exclusively to New Tecumseth residents. Capacity is limited.
Residents must have an Xplor Registration Software account set up in advance in order to register for tickets. Town staff are available to assist first-time users with account setup.
“This is a truly unique opportunity that few communities will experience,” says Mayor Richard Norcross. “We’re excited to have New Tecumseth be a part of this historic FIFA moment.”
