Residents looking to cool off this summer will soon be able to dive back into the Outdoor Rotary Pool, with the Town of New Tecumseth announcing the facility will open for the season at the end of the month.
The pool will offer a range of activities including drop-in swims, aquatic fitness classes, and special events for residents of all ages.
Visitors can also take advantage of Mayor and Council Free Swims, themed swim nights, and free swimming opportunities during Canada Day celebrations.
As part of the summer season, the Town is also highlighting National Drowning Prevention Week, taking place July 19th to July 25th, which promotes water safety awareness and encourages residents to take simple steps to help prevent drowning incidents.
Those planning to visit regularly can purchase individual or family pool passes, which provide unlimited access to drop-in swimming throughout the season. The Town notes that Aquafit and Aqua Zumba programs are not included with pool passes.
It officially opens on Monday, June 29th, and will operate through Sunday, September 6th.
