The annual Innisfil Mayor’s Golf Tournament returned to The Nest at Friday Harbour Resort this week, raising $88,000 in support of the Innisfil Community Foundation.
The sold-out event on Monday, June 15th brought together local businesses, golfers, sponsors and community supporters for a day of fundraising and friendly competition. Proceeds from the tournament will support programs and initiatives funded through the Innisfil Community Foundation.
The foundation works with local charities and non-profit organizations to address issues such as poverty, food insecurity, mental health and community well-being throughout Innisfil.
Mayor Lynn Dollin said the tournament continues to demonstrate the impact of community collaboration and generosity, while helping support organizations and services that benefit local residents.
Sandra Rizzardo, Chair of the Innisfil Community Foundation, said the funds raised through the event will help the foundation continue investing in programs and services that support people across the community.
