The Town of Innisfil officially opened Jackson Park last week.
This eight-acre park is named after former Mayor Brian Jackson, who served as Innisfil’s longest-serving mayor from 1998 to 2010, recognizing his contributions and legacy of public service.
Residents attended the grand opening event, which featured family-friendly activities and refreshments. The year-round recreational park includes a playground, outdoor fitness equipment, walking trails, a shaded pavilion, picnic tables with game boards, and a seasonal sledding hill.
Mayor Lynn Dollin said the project demonstrates what can be achieved through collaboration, noting the park was delivered ahead of schedule through a partnership between the Town, Parkbridge, and Mattamy Homes. An agreement reached in 2025 helped accelerate construction within the Lakehaven residential development.
