The Town of Innisfil has officially proclaimed July 17th, 2026, as Royal Canadian Legion Centennial Day in recognition of the Legion’s 100 years of service to veterans, military families, and communities across Canada.
Mayor Lynn Dollin issued the proclamation to mark the centennial of the Royal Canadian Legion, which was incorporated on July 17th, 1926.
The proclamation also recognizes the contributions of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 547, which has served the Innisfil community since 1953 by supporting veterans and their families, preserving Canada’s military heritage, and organizing charitable and community initiatives.
The Town is encouraging residents to mark the occasion by reflecting on the sacrifices and contributions of veterans, while celebrating a century of remembrance, service, and community engagement by the Royal Canadian Legion.
